Mr. Lamarrius Anderson
Dixie Elementary School
Dear Parents and Students,
I am excited to welcome you to a new school year at Dixie Elementary! I am also excited to be a part of the Dixie family.
First, let me tell you a part of my story. I am beginning my twenty-fourth year as an educator. I began my career in Dadeville, Alabama in the Tallapoosa County School System where I was a Kindergarten teacher for seven years. My family and I moved to Auburn where I began teaching 1st grade at Yarbrough Elementary School. I also taught 2nd and 3rd grade for a few years at Yarbough Elementary before becoming the Instructional Coach at Richland Elementary School. In 2016, I became the Assistant Principal at Cary Woods Elementary School in Auburn.
Together, I believe that all children can be successful, learn and SOAR! I look forward to meeting each of you and establishing relationships with you all that will promote growth and development so that our students will be successful, both socially and academically. If you ever have any questions or concerns, my office and ears are always open. We are all in this together!
I hope you take the time to read through our handbook. It contains important information that will be beneficial for you throughout the school year.
This year, our district's theme is "We Are All In This Together" and at Dixie our theme will be "Together We Are Dixie"!
Together we will be Reaching New Heights and Soaring to Excellence!
