  • Greetings Tigers!

Welcome to the 2021-22 school year! Our school theme this year is "Today's Readers, Tomorrow's Leaders" because we believe that literacy plays a vital role in your child's academic success. It is our mission at LES to provide your child with a rigorous education in an effort to meet their academic needs. We believe in educating the whole child and fostering growth academically, socially, and emotionally.  This year we are continually striving for the R.O.A.R. tiger way by focusing on Responsibility, Organization, Accountability, and Respect. When our tigers demonstrate effort in these areas, they earn PBIS points to redeem at our school store.

Having worked at Ladonia for the past 22 years, I am honored to have recently been appointed the principal of this wonderful school. Because Ladonia is my home, I take very seriously the academic success and growth of every child at this school. As your principal, I will strive to be the best advocate for your child right alongside you. We appreciate your support and flexibility as we navigate through uncertain times because family partnerships are crucial for a child's success.

Please make sure to follow us on Facebook to stay current with all of the school happenings. We look forward to building a strong family partnership, a successful school year, and making great academic strides!

My name is Raven Garrett! It has been my pleasure to serve in the Russell County School District since 2013. I am super excited and grateful to now serve as your Assistant Principal here at Ladonia! I have a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Collaborative Education (K-6) from Troy University. In 2016, I completed my Master's Degree in Elementary Education from Troy University and received my add-on Instructional Leadership Certification in 2018 from Auburn University in Montgomery. I am currently working on my Doctorate in Education in Rural Education Leadership from the University of West Alabama.

During my time in Russell County, I have taught Pre-K to Sixth Grade Special Education and First Grade in the General Education Setting. I absolutely love to see the joy of learning on a child's face. I value family and together, we will make an AMAZING family. I am thrilled for the new school year. Let's go TIGERS!
