Hello! My name is Emily Overby, and I am the school counselor for Mount Olive Primary School and for Oliver Elementary School.  I have worked for the Russell County School District for over 18 years.  I spent 15 years as a regular classroom teacher, and now I am enjoying being a school counselor at two fantastic schools.  In 1997 I graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor’s degree in Family & Child Development.  I also attended Troy University in Phenix City where I earned a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education, a Specialist’s degree in Elementary Education, and later earned a Master’s Degree in School Counseling.  I currently live in Columbus, Georgia and attend Wynnbrook Baptist Church.  I am happily married to my husband, Mike.  We have one son, Matthew, who is the love of our lives.  In my free time, I enjoy traveling (which I don’t get to do enough of), watching TV and movies, baking, spending time with friends and family, and watching Auburn football!
