I am elated to serve as the principal of Mount Olive Intermediate School. I hope your summer break has been restful and rejuvenating. The faculty and staff are ready to support our students and parents. As in past years, we are prepared to serve each student with excellence and dedication.

Despite the significant changes that our nation is facing educationally, we stand ready to navigate through the 2021-2022 school year in a positive and creative manner to ensure that we maintain a strong learning community that guarantees optimum success.

Greetings! My name is Carrie Ann Miller. I am a resident of Smiths Station, AL. I am forty-three years old and live with my fur baby, Petey. My mother is my best friend, and I love doing CrossFit. I am beginning my eighteenth year in education this school year and my second year in the Russell County School District. My first sixteen years as an educator were in the Phenix City School System. Fourteen fabulous years were spent at Westview Elementary School where I taught kindergarten for eleven years, fifth grade reading for one year, and was a K-5 Reading Interventionist and SmartLab facilitator for two years. Two wonderful years were at Phenix City Elementary School (PCES). During my first year at PCES, I was a K-2 Reading Specialist. In my second year at PCES, I was the 3-5 Reading Specialist. I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education Collaborative, Master in Science in Elementary Education, Master in Science in Instructional Leadership and Administration, and Education Specialist in Teacher Leader from Troy University in Phenix City, AL. I am thrilled to be a part of the Warrior Family and cannot wait to support you as we empower our students, foster family partnerships, and support our community!

    Sincerely,

    Carrie Miller
