The goal of Russell County School District's Career and Technical Education Department is to support the mission and vision of our district.  It is our first priority to engage students in quality learning experiences that will prepare them for success in college, career, and life.

Our global society requires that students graduate high school with employability skills that enable them to innovate, create, and collaborate.  By exposing students on a daily basis to real-life simulated work experiences, we are equipping them with the resources necessary to succeed in life.

Students are taught curriculum where the end is in mind.  The push to ensure that students graduate with credentials in every program is priority.  Programs undergo strenuous program review to ensure they are in line with our vision to inspire, empower and educate students with excellence.

Dual enrollment programs grant students the opportunity to earn college credit while in high school.  Students are afforded the opportunity to intern or work on apprenticeship programs with our local industry partners.  Job shadowing visits are also available to our student body.  We engage and involve our stakeholders as they are active members of our advisory councils, participate in our summits, and devote countless hours investing in our young people.
